MANILA- Unidentified gunmen threw a grenade and opened fire at the office of Northern Police District-Drug Enforcement Unit in Langaray St., Barangay 14, Caloocan City.
According to Northern Police director PBGEN Ponce Rogelio Penones Jr, the attack happened around 1:45 AM ( May20) Initial investigation revealed that the police officers on duty were inside the office when the suspects threw a grenade and opened fire at the station. No one was hurt but it left a damaged staircase outside the office.

Pinones added that they are doing a backtracking and focusing on three persons of interest.
NPD is looking at the possibility that some criminals are getting back at the NPD for its relentless campaigns against illegal drugs and other high value individuals.
