Ocampo, Camarines Sur- A drug den was shut down and nine individuals were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) last May 15, 2023, around 9:27 in the evening at Barangay Hibago, Ocampo, Camarines Sur.

The arrested personalities were identified by authorities as Jay Torrecampo Odiame, 44 years old, unemployed, a resident of Barangay Hibago, and a provincial target listed- drug den maintainer; Zaldy Barcela Mangubat, 50 years old, single, unemployed, and a resident of Barangay Lidong, Ocampo, Camarines Sur; Edmer San Buenaventura Ayao, 36 years old, married, habal-habal driver, and a resident of Barangay San Jose, Goa, Camarines Sur; Justine Albert Monge Amaro, 30 years old, unemployed, and a resident of Barangay Hibago, Ocampo, Camarines Sur; Albino Gerbe Codillo, 50 years old, married, cooker and a resident of Barangay Pinit, Ocampo, Camarines Sur; Aina Lopez Barranda, 36 years old, married, laundry woman, and a resident of Barangay Hibago, Ocampo, Camarines Sur; Ma. Anjanette Abellado Bobis, 28 years old, call girl, single, and a resident of Barangay San Juan, Pili, Camarines Sur; Renalyn Celestial Brusalo, 30 years old, single, call girl, and a resident of Barangay Antipolo, Rizal; and Angie Heneral Niebres, 38 years old, unemployed, and a resident of Barangay Hibago, Ocampo, Camarines Sur.

Seized during the operation were five (5) pcs heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected as illegal drugs weighing more or less ten (10) grams worth Php 68,000.00; one (1) piece genuine Php 500.00 bill with serial no. SG520367 placed on top of several pieces of rolled five hundred peso bill replicas bundled with rubber band; one small box color mint green; eight (8) pieces lighter; one (1) piece small plastic container color red; two (2) pieces of cut up aluminum foil strip containing residue of suspected illegal drugs; two (2) pieces empty plastic sachets containing traces of white crystalline substance suspected to be illegal drugs; one (1) piece empty cigarette pack Marlboro blue; one (1) PC weighing scale; five (5) pieces aluminum foil improvised tooter; several pieces of cut up aluminum foil strips.

The witnesses during the operation were Jomil Tayangona from Radyo Partido; and Gloria Flores, a barangay kagawad of Barangay Hibago.

Suspects will face cases for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12 of Article 2 of Republic Act No. 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
