SORSOGON CITY- Through a buy-bust operation, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) together with Sorsogon Provincial Police Office- Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (Sorsogon PPO-PDEU) and Philippine Army dismantled a drug den in this city.
The buy-bust operation was conducted around 4:10 in the afternoon of March 12, 2023 (Sunday) at Barangay Cambulaga, Sorsogon City.
The arrested personalities were identified as Elsa Debois Buen, 45 years old, elementary graduate, married and a resident of Barangay Cambulaga, Sorsogon City; Merriam Biazong Reyes, 32 years old, high school undergraduate, single, and a resident of Barangay Bibincahan, Sorsogon City; Michelle Marantal Espineda, 40 years old, high school undergraduate, single and a resident of Barangay Bibincahan, Sorsogon City; Lito Debois Buen, 37 years old, single and a resident of Barangay Cambulaga, Sorsogon City; and Rommel Debois Buen, 49 years old, high school undergraduate and a resident of Barangay Cabulaga, Sorsogon City.
Based on the report given by PDEA, the suspect was arrested after selling to a PDEA poseur buyer one (1) piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance belied to be an illegal drug in exchange for one genuine 500.00 pesos bill bearing serial number HR 518528 used as buy-bust money.
Recovered during the buy-bust operation has an estimated weight of more or less 0.08 grams of suspected shabu with a value amounting to Php 540.00 and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.
Recovered through Plainview were four (4) pieces of a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with an estimated weight of more or less 13 grams with a value amounting to Php 88,400.00 and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.
A case for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12 under Article 2 of Republic Act No. 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect. (RGLA)
